All awards will be determined by clock (gun time), not chip time. All finishers will receive a medal. The Steamtown Marathon presents race awards to men and women as follows:
The Steamtown Marathon will consider granting elite status to male runners who have finished a sub 2:30 marathon or a sub 1:10 half marathon and to female runners who have finished a sub 2:55 marathon or a sub 1:25 half marathon provided such times have been achieved within the past two years. The Steamtown Marathon does not provide travel or lodging assistance to elites but does comp their entry fee. To request consideration for elite status, please send an e-mail to Race Director Bill King at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Note: With the exception of the top local finishers category, The Steamtown Marathon does not duplicate race awards. For example, if a Master’s runner finishes 3rd overall, he/she will not also be named the Masters champion.
